About Elwin

Back in 1994 after 7 years of Higher General Secondary Education (called HAVO in Dutch) Elwin thought that it was time for an education that he actually did like. Although his then dean advised him to do something with people (“Something in healthcare seems like something for you!”), He soon knew that an education in healthcare would not be for him. At the time, Elwin even couldn't wipe his own behind, let alone those of the elderly or other needy. So the choice was quickly made.

 

He started to study Hotel Management. A place where he first became acquainted with the hospitality industry. The beginning of something of which he only realized 25 years later that that moment was the basis for what he is now doing: showing people that customer-friendliness is not an some kind of art or a trick. It is something very simple that comes from the heart.

 

As a freelancer, Elwin helps companies, associations and other organizations, among other things, with the search for, improvement or creation of hospitality and he offers hands-on commercial support to, for example, self-employed people in the field of following up (exhibition) leads and chasing quotations. He is also helping people to improving their cold calling, cold emailing and social selling skills. Especially since nowadays having a LinkedIn profile has become very important when working within a B-to-B environment.

 

In addition to his workshops, lectures and other activities, in daily life he works on the international sales department of a production company for hydraulic high-pressure tools. Here he first came into contact with making customers feel welcome in a business to business environment. He discovered that this allows you to distinguish yourself from the competition. Elwin uses daily events as inspiration in his workshops. And vice versa, he applies what he learns from his training in his daily work.
